HABOTAI is open to everyone interested in painting on silk and in enhancing their handmade silk works. The driving force is a group of silk enthusiasts, who have made every yearly exhibition a special and interesting experience.

Monthly Meetings have been put on hold.

Extra Activities and Workshops

On a regular basis special activities were organised, such as:

Visit to the Festival at AUBIJOULASOIE in Liège
Workshop : Creating relief-illusions on textiles (2D-3D-2D)
Participation in the Creatief Hobby Salon Antwerp or Mechelen
Visit to a silkworm nursery and silk museum
Visit to the BATIK exhibition at the Diocesaan Centrum Groenhove in Torhout, Belgium
