ART ON SILK

Exhibition

The annual ART ON SILK exhibition of HABOTAI has become an established event in the Belgian cultural scene and beyond.  It developed from a local venture to an internationally acclaimed textile exhibition.

Through HABOTAI's diverse activities it is ‘the place to be’ for everyone interested in the beautiful works of art that can be created on silk. At the yearly exhibition everybody is enchanted by the results.

Throughout the year the members work hard to refine their techniques, enhance new ones and experiment combining silk with other materials. A number of national and international participants guarantee a vibrant exchange of ideas. Many thanks to our faithful sponsors, without whose help these events would not be possible.

DIGITAL Exhibition 2021
Art On Silk - Silk Collages

For its 30th anniversary HABOTAI was organising the exhibition, ART ON SILK – SILK COLLAGES.  However due to the Covid-19 measures in Belgium this exhibition was postponed and then deleted in 2021 for the same reasons..

Hereunder you will find the beautiful paintings sent in for this exhibition showing artworks that explore and stretch the boundaries of every conceivable silk painting technique and theme.

Some of our International Members are also participating in this Exhibition.
